Seven Sisters Relief Print: Blue Sussex Coast Landscape Art, Limited Edition x30

Original, handmade, relief print depicting a view of the Seven Sisters Cliffs in Sussex. This view was captured from Seaford head and includes the Iconic coastguard cottages.

This design is inspired by my many trips to Seven Sisters, Seaford Head and Cuckmere Haven (where the river meets the English Channel) since moving to Sussex. I wanted to capture the beautiful and dramatic landscape, which can feel serene and yet imposing in scale!

I carved the print by hand and used a baren to transfer to the japanese paper. I hand-mixed a deep blue ink using Cranfield oil-based inks to evoke the calming tones of this coastal setting.

Details:

Paper size: approximately 28 x 39 cm
Image size: roughly 16 x 35 cm
Unframed and unmounted

Each print is created on Japanese Hosho paper, which brings a delicate texture to the artwork. Please note that due to differences in computer monitors, the colors in the listing may vary slightly from the actual print.

As with all hand-printed works, each print in this limited edition will have slight variations, including occasional speckling or texture, which adds to the unique, handmade quality of the piece.

Edition:

This is a limited edition run of 30 prints. Each print will be signed by me in pencil and numbered along the bottom of the design. Numbers are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Shipping:

A3 or similar size prints will be wrapped in tissue paper and rolled in a cardboard postal tube for protection during shipping. Once received I advise that you allow the print to uncurl and also flatten the edges under heavy books for a few a day or two before framing.
